It has been sometime since we posted, and even more time sent we truly traveled to raise support. This is for several reasons, we are of course expecting our fourth child in about two weeks; we have wanted to put what money we we did get straight towards saving for Scotland (thus Scott worked at Walmart), and we have been praying for a clearer vision and a door to open for long term service. As many of your know we are looking to join with a church in Aberdeen that is been looking for someone to alongside the pastor and his wife. The couple are eager to have us join them, for visa purposes the best option is to serve under Alongside Ministries (a mission board we are familiar with anyway) who specialize in helping local churches in Europe.
Our plans (you can check the calendar tap for fairly up to date schedule) for the next few months in brief is: the birth of Ewan is expected around July 5 (I am hoping for the 4th, ’cause that’s fun), we hope to visit many churches in Indiana in the coming week. In August we intend to head to Minnesota and visit Karen’s family and visit some of the churches in that area. The first few weeks of September we intend to East, probably to Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Then on September 20 Liam and Scott head to Scotland!! The primary goal is to visit the couple we are planing to serve with in Aberdeen (at Woodside parish church) and also attend a church service there. Most of the time will be spent on the isle of Mull (two full weeks) filling a commitment to preach at Mull Baptist and visiting friends and contacts. We would ask you to pray for blessings on the services, the contacts (especially pastor Sean Ankers, a young pastor of the Mull Free Church, my heart is burden for him and his efforts to serve), and for our time in Aberdeen.
Once we return from Scotland, as a family we will head West, ultimately to California. As I usually write, PLEASE, if you have a church that you think we can share at, a group we can visit, or just one to “hang” out with us at some point in our journey please let us know. We love to visiting with people, no pressure, just seeing all the people we can through out the country and catching up. (The picture is of a sweet couple I met last time on Mull, and Tobermory the capital of Mull)
